Q: Do you install car seats?
A: No. We are not authorized to install car seats. We recommend that you visit our local county fire stations if you need assistance. They will help you with installation. You may also try the Child Passenger Safety Contacts at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/injury/childps/contacts/
Q: Is there a minimum number of days required for rental?
A: No. However, there is a $45 minimum rental charge for all orders. There is also a $60 minimum rental charge for FULL-SIZED cribs. Delivery and pick-up is free to local cities.
Q: Can you deliver to the airport?
A: We deliver car seats to the car rental agencies located at the Santa Barbara Airport. We cannot deliver other equipment directly to the airport due to FAA security policy, however, we can make special arrangements with you to accommodate your needs if you are traveling beyond Santa Barbara.
Q: Can I pick up the equipment myself?
A: No. In order to ensure quality service, we must deliver the items ourselves.
Q: When does the rental term begin?
A: On your scheduled delivery day. Our delivery and pick-up hours are between 9am-1pm.
Q: What if I am not satisfied with my order?
A: If you are not satisfied, we will replace the item as soon as possible so that you can continue to enjoy your visit to Santa Barbara.
Q: What is the payment process?
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard and checks. A credit card is required to hold the reservation. If paying by credit card, the card will be charged 48 hours prior to delivery. Checks may be accepted, however, payment must be received two weeks prior to delivery. We don’t want you to be hassled with payment when you arrive – it’s vacation time!
Q: How far in advance should I make a reservation?
A: Your order is subject to equipment availability. It is best to make your reservation as early as possible. Keep in mind that holidays and summer are especially high tourist seasons in Santa Barbara. Orders placed within 48 hours of scheduled delivery date should be called in and are subject to a Rush Order Fee.
Q: Can I pay with cash or a check?
A: We do not accept cash payments, although we do accept checks. However, we need a valid credit card number to hold the reservation until the equipment is returned
Q: Are your products safe and clean?
A: Safety is our number one concern. Santa Barbara Baby Company seeks out Juvenile Product Manufacturer Association (JPMA) certified products. We register every product with the manufacturer and are kept notified of all equipment recalls. We santize our products after every use and check them for safety accordingly.
Q: Do you deliver to adjacent counties?
A: Yes. We deliver to cities such as Ventura, Oxnard and Ojai. There is an additional delivery charge for these areas.
